60th Edition Download

Hey everyone, Aidan here again,

If you caught my last email, you know why I started The Download and AIApply.

If you didn’t catch my last email, I built both of these to help you not just ride the AI wave, but actually shape your career with it. Today, I want to give you a few practical, real-world tips you can use right now to learn faster, stand out, and land jobs that don’t feel transactional. (your AI news comes right after don’t worry)

Take a look:

1️⃣ Polish Your Resume with AI

Use ChatGPT (or your favorite LLM) to revamp your resume in different categories, or for different postions you’re applying for.

Prompt example: “Rewrite this to highlight achievement and impact:” followed by your original bullet. If the job your applying for is tailored toward a specific type of work, make it tailor your resume to that.

Why it matters: A resume can be a Swiss army knife, but you don’t want it to be “okay” at everything. You want it to be amazing for the one job you’re applying for, and this does that.

2️⃣ Prep for an Interview in Minutes

Stop cramming Q&As from Google. Start with this guide:

  • Pick one question, technical or behavioral.

  • Ask ChatGPT to role-play as the interviewer, answer, then ask it to critique your response.

Why this works: Instead of generic prep, you’re getting real-time feedback—fast. It's tiring, but a single good session beats hours of random prep.

3️⃣ Automate Thank-You Emails

  • After any interview or networking chat, use AI to draft a personalized thank-you note by feeding in details like the person’s name, company, and conversation highlights. (Bonus: use a meeting recorder and just give AI the transcript of the meeting!)

  • Follow-up messages show professionalism, and AI removes the friction.

  • AIApply has a simple guide showing you how to use AI in your Job search process, “Job Application Automation” in their blog library.

Before I go: AIApply isn’t just a blog. We’ve built a full platform where you can plug in your resume, chat with AI to optimize it, discover smart job matches, prepare for interviews with simulated feedback, and track your applications, all in one place.

Give AIApply a spin today, because your career shouldn’t wait.

See you Friday,
Aidan

This Week in AI:

This week delivers growth, artistry, and governance - all powered by AI.

OpenAI just hit $10 billion in annual revenue, showing that enterprise and consumer subscriptions are scaling fast. Higgsfield launched Speak, allowing anyone to create cinematic, avatar-based talking videos. And Anthropic strengthened its ethical governance with a national security expert joining its Long-Term Benefit Trust.

Let’s break down why each of these moves matters to you.

In This Issue:

  • OpenAI Hits $10 B ARR → A milestone that cements its leadership and strategy pivot. [link]

  • Higgsfield Launches ‘Speak’ → Creators can now generate cinematic talking avatars with ease. [link]

  • Anthropic Hires National Security Adviser → A signal that AI ethics just became national policy. [link]

TL;DR:

OpenAI’s annual recurring revenue (ARR) jumped to $10 billion from $5.5 billion just six months ago, thanks to booming ChatGPT adoption across consumers and 3 million business subscribers. The company still operates at a loss but is on track to meet its $12.7 billion goal, excluding big Microsoft licensing revenue.

Our Take:

This is proof AI is still growing now more than ever. Hitting $10 billion in under three years shows that enterprise adoption isn’t just hype. But it also highlights a looming question: how fast can OpenAI scale responsibly while burning billions? For founders, product leads, and job-makers, this means the AI boom is real, but so is the capital war to build responsibly at scale.

TL;DR:

Higgsfield just launched Speak, a tool that lets users create cinematic talking avatars, complete with realistic motion, lip-sync, and emotion, from scripts and photos. Available in Pro and Ultimate plans, it offers preset styles and scene controls, ideal for creators, educators, and marketers

Our Take:

This is AI kit that lets anyone produce polished visual content in minutes without a filming crew required. For creators or teams building customer-facing tools, it’s a massive leap forward. Speaking avatars aren't gimmicky either. They're immersive, engaging content tools. And with usage expanding rapidly (they shipped 12 releases in 50 days), it’s clear this isn’t a side project; it’s a content revolution.

TL;DR:

Anthropic has added Richard Fontaine, a seasoned national security expert and think tank leader, to its Long-Term Benefit Trust. The move reflects a growing emphasis on global policy strategy and safe AI governance.

Our Take:

This is a competitive advantage. Bringing in serious policy expertise sets Anthropic apart, showing they’re thinking ahead, beyond models and codes, to long-term societal impact. If you’re working in policy, ethics, or building agents, this is a playbook moment: real expertise means credibility, and credibility now shapes who gets built and who gets regulated.

With Shinkai, you can launch private, high-powered AI agents that read files, scrape websites, post to X, and even pay other agents—all without writing a single line of code.

Whether you prefer local models like Ollama or cloud giants like GPT-4.1, Shinkai lets you pick your compute, own your keys, and control your costs.

Shinkai is fast, open-source, no-code, and privacy-first.
